I am constantly on the lookout for new gear & fun gadgets that help me reach a better overall level of health. There are so many options out there when it comes to fitness watches and activity trackers; ranging from $30 all the way into the hundreds. So, when REM-Fit contacted me about reviewing their REM-Fit Active 200 Sleep & Activity Tracker I jumped on board! For only $99, I thought it would be awesome to see how this watch matched up to my other favorite trackers.
Here is an up close and personal view on what you get for $99. Included with your purchase is: “REM-Fit Active” Fitness Tracker, 2 wristbands (one purple & one black), a belt clip (if you don’t want to wear the wristband), and finally, the USB charging dock.
The watch charges very quickly and tracks your daily calories burned, steps, distance, sleep and even gives you an active score based on activities you log during the day through their app (available on iOS & Android). I found the calories burned throughout the day (without exercise) to be accurate. I also liked that I could input what goals I wanted to reach and the watch would buzz to remind me to get active throughout the day. It helped me to get up and move when I was way too comfy on the couch! 🙂 The tracker also has a WIDE variety of band colors to choose from which makes me happy!
More pros to this tracker:
Price – at $99, you get a lot for your money.
Durability – the band feels very durable, thick and was easy to clean.
Charge – the REM-Fit battery charges quickly & stays charged with constant use
App – the app is easy to navigate and shows you everything you want to see from your sleep pattern, to your active points, and also lets you connect with friends.
Belt Clip – I really like that you could wear the tracker on your belt and not have to constantly wear it as a watch.
And a few cons:
The touch screen – I had a hard time getting my tracker screen to move to show me all of the data at times. You have to tap it on the left to get the stats to turn over and sometimes it would not detect my taps.
Distance – this varied on certain days but, some days I know I walked further than my watch detected. Having said this, my calories burned were still accurate. It was just the total distance that was way under at times.
In conjunction with the REM-Fit Active 200, I also received the REM-Fit Rest Collection 400 Series Pillow. My pregnant self was SUPER excited to try this pillow that promises to help regulate body temperature and protect against dust mites and allergens to provide a better quality sleep (which is SO important to overall health!!). After some good use of this pillow, I can say that I really like it! My husband even loves to steal it from me 😉
Contour – the pillow fits your body and delivers a very comfortable feel.
Cooling Gel Top – I tend to wake up sweating during the nights (thank you increased pregnancy hormones!) and I never once woke up during the night when using this pillow. “The gel pad disperses heat, offering a cooling sensation keeping you comfortable all night long.”
Comfort – Overall, just a really comfortable pillow that did help me sleep better!
Weight – the pillow, for me, is heavy. So, it was hard to move it easily during the night. I like to wrap my arms around my pillows at times so this was slightly more difficult to do.
Overall, the pillow did help me to sleep better. I know this because I saw it on my app (woo!) =)
So, would I recommend the REM-Fit Active 200 Tracker? The price is right and it does what you need it to – so YES! Would I recommend the REM-Fit Rest Collection Pillow? If you are having any sort of sleep problems and need a solution for better quality sleep OR you just want a really comfortable & good for you pillow – then, YES!
