Thank you all so much for the love on my maternity shoot photos. It can be so hard later in pregnancy to feel beautiful (and not like a cow) – so I truly appreciate all of the love and support! <3

My favorite look was my edgy leopard dress and leather jacket! I was thrilled when I found something new and fab while also being able to incorporate some of my older style pieces I already had.

My leather jacket has been with me through A LOT. It was one of the first pieces I bought when I lost weight and it holds special significance as one of my first smaller sized pieces. I have worn it for years and even used it in my engagement photos back in 2013. This jacket means strength, perseverance and a new outlook on life for me; so, it is only fitting that I wear it during big moments in my life. Who would have thought a jacket could hold so much meaning, right?!

For my maternity shoot, I knew I wanted a tighter fitting dress to show off my growing bump. At 36 weeks, I feel like I should celebrate what my body is capable of, not hide it!

When I found this fab little leopard number on Leota.com, I knew I had to have it! The quality is amazing and it truly fit in all the right places. The fabric is 94% Rayon and 6% Spandex which means it doesn’t awkwardly stretch out or wrinkle. For someone who gets extremely hot, it’s nice to not have to worry about it looking sloppy from an internal steam job (lol). It also didn’t show sweat stains from the 90+ degree CA heat that just happened to show up that day.

Maternity 201616_-119I absolutely love the smaller leopard print! I have always been into slightly edgier fashion so this dress was just what I was looking for.

I paired this dress with my leather jacket (purchased years ago from Aeropostale), Carlos Santana ankle boots from Target, and a dainty silver necklace I got when on a trip with my sisters to Leavenworth, WA.

Lucky for me, my older sister, Kari, does amazing makeup! She was able to get my eyeshadow on point! I styled my hair with a straightener and couldn’t of been happier with how it came out. It has definitely been a learning  process when it came to that! =)

Overall, I got some great pictures (thanks to Kelly Wozniak Photography – who is AMAZING!) and I loved this look!
